Shred Day 2026: Event Recap & Record Results

FHBA’s Annual Shred Day Sets a New Record

This year’s Shred Day was our biggest yet — over 100 vehicles came through to safely offload their sensitive documents, resulting in 3,425 pounds of paper securely shredded and recycled. It was an incredible morning of community participation, spring‑cleaning energy, and real impact.

A Smooth, High‑Energy Morning

From the moment the event opened, cars were lined up and ready. Volunteers helped unload boxes, guide traffic, and keep the flow moving efficiently. The turnout exceeded all previous years and showcased just how valuable this service is to our community.

Powered by Volunteers & Community Partners

We were proud to have FHBA members, board members, and volunteers from United Bank working together throughout the morning. Their teamwork made the event seamless and welcoming for every participant.

A special thank‑you goes to the Forest Hills High School Robotics Team, whose students brought great energy and jumped right in to support the event.

Event Highlights

This year’s Shred Day wasn’t just productive — it was fun. Volunteers connected with neighbors, helped unload vehicles, and kept the atmosphere upbeat. These candid moments capture the heart of FHBA: community supporting community.

Secure Shredding in Action

Rapid Shred’s on‑site mobile unit ensured every document was securely destroyed on the spot. The process was fast, efficient, and environmentally responsible.

Thank You to Everyone Who Participated

Shred Day continues to be one of FHBA’s most appreciated community services — and this year’s record turnout shows just how meaningful it is. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, volunteered, or helped spread the word. We’re already looking forward to next year.
