Indoor Air Quality, Community Updates & Connection Over Coffee

This morning, FHBA members gathered at Sunrise Senior Living of Cascade for a powerful and eye‑opening session on a topic that affects every business and building: indoor air quality.

Our featured speaker, Carol Helsel of Third Coast Test and Balance, shared insights from her 30+ years of leadership across healthcare, restaurants, and service agencies. Her presentation, “The Hidden Cost of Indoor Air Issues,” explored how the air we breathe impacts customer confidence, employee well‑being, and operational risk — and offered practical steps to create healthier, safer environments.

A Morning of Connection & Community

Alongside the presentation, members enjoyed a warm breakfast, great conversation, and the kind of genuine networking that makes FHBA such a strong and connected community. The room was full of energy, new introductions, and meaningful conversations that strengthen our local business network.

FHBA Updates & Announcements

Shred Day — April 11, 2026

Securely destroy personal or sensitive documents at our annual Shred Event, open to Forest Hills/Cascade area residents.

Location: United Bank, 900 East Paris Ave SE

Time: 9 AM – 12 PM

Limit: 4 boxes of paper per car

This is one of FHBA’s signature community services — practical, free, and member‑driven.

Scholarship Deadline — March 26

FHBA is awarding two scholarships this spring:

  • $750 Scholarship

  • $1,500 Scholarship

Eligible students must live in the Forest Hills Public School District or have an immediate family member in FHBA.

Applications require transcripts, a letter of recommendation, and a one‑page essay.

New Monthly Networking Lunch

Starting this month, FHBA will host a Networking Lunch every fourth Thursday.

This casual, consistent gathering creates another welcoming space for members to connect, collaborate, and build relationships.
